    Are you looking to be part of a team that desires to see lives impacted for Christ? As an intern at the Ridgecrest Conference Center, you will have the experience to grow professionally, spiritually and personally as you join our team in pursuing Ridgecrest's mission: Cultivating experiences, nurturing relationships, impacting lives for God's glory.

     

    You will receive on-the-job training, and learn the skills needed to serve in a fast-paced Christian hospitality environment. Leaders will coordinate your work schedule, daily responsibilities, and special project assignments. Our program also includes weekly bible study and fellowship with other team members. You will be provided unique opportunities for your growth and development through enrichment and service.

    Responsibilities

    As a Guest Spaces Intern, you will be exposed to 3 areas within the department:

    • Housekeeping - services over 600 guest rooms in 8 different buildings throughout the campus
    • Custodial - oversees 75+ public restrooms and maintains all public spaces
    • Laundry - processes over 500,000 items in a year.

    Our team strives to keep all guest areas on campus clean and maintained at all times. You will learn the industry's best practices, problem-solving under pressure and how work as part of a team.

    Qualifications

    • Posess some knowledge of cleaning procedures
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and the general public
    • Must be able to follow instructions and other communications regarding assignments and other matters
    • Must be able to perform physical work, including significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, and lifting on a daily basis

    Other Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED, required
    • Able to work August 23, 2020 to May 10, 2021 (40+ hours/week)
    • Commit to the overall program (including core group, service projects, Summer Staff recruitment, events, etc.)
    • Possess a sincere desire to serve others with excellence and grace
    • Be flexible, teachable and hard-working
    • Have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated
    • Be willing to serve guests with a positive attitude
    • Able to work long days, busy weekends, and be prepared to work hard both mentally, and physically
    • Eligible to work in the United States

     

    Benefits:

    • Meals (when dining room is open)
    • Paid a $300/week stipend
