    LifeWay Ridgecrest Conference Center (Ridgecrest, N.C.) is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Lead Cook. This is a full-time position working a variable weekly schedule with benefits.

    • Leads work of food service kitchen employees
    • Prepares large quantity meals (hot, cold and/or dessert)
    • Coordinates production activities with service crew
    • Receives, evaluates, and reports customer feedback
    • Assists in menu planning and unit work flow planning
    • Monitors and maintains inventory
    • Note – Other job duties as assigned.



    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Must have desire to work in food service operation and the hospitality industry
    • Excellent customer service skills required
    • Ability to interact with customers/guest in a positive manner
    • Knowledge of catering industry
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Must have excellent cooking skills
    • Inventory management skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines with excellence
    • Knowledge of safety precautions, system, and codes



    • High School diploma or GED required
    • Vocational training a plus
    • Previous hospitality or catering experience preferred but not required
    • 4 years or more high volume cooking and food preparation experience required
    • 1 year supervisory experience required plus strong knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement
