LifeWay Ridgecrest Conference Center (Ridgecrest, N.C.) is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of Catering Manager. This individual will be responsible for supervising all catering staff and services. Establishes and maintains standard of excellence for all guest services in catering events.  

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple daily campus catering events
  • Oversees setup, serving, and cleaning of meeting rooms and conference spaces for all catering events
  • Develops and maintains standards and specifications of guest service
  • Hires, trains and supervises assigned staff
  • Schedules assigned staff
  • Collaborates with internal and external departments to accomplish various tasks and projects
  • Coordinates special projects
  • Orders food and supplies

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Food service skills - Advanced
  • Customer relations skills - Advanced
  • Managerial skills - Advanced
  • Training skills - Advanced
  • Administration/Organizational skills - Advanced

 

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED with some college or technical school courses
  • 3 years experience in catering and/or food service supervision is required

 

 

Other Qualifications: Valid driver's license. Must possess the necessary physical stamina for walking/standing/working for extended periods (up to 12 hours), and ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively.
